Sunflower oil, refined

Description

Origins and characteristics: This oil is made by pressing/extracting the seeds of the sunflower and then refining it. The pale yellow oil has a neutral smell and a mild taste. It is cultivated in East and Southeast Europe, India, Egypt, Canada and Argentina.

Usage

Usage: refined sunflower oil is a commonly used cooking oil. It is also increasingly used in cosmetics.
