Description

Origins and characteristics: The starting material of this organic squalane is olive oil. The product is obtained through a catalytic hydrogenation of the squalane (triterpene). The content of squalane is at least 96%. It is a colourless odorless fluid. Olive oil from Spain is the source.

Usage

Usage: Squalane is 100% oilsoluble, pretty much oxidation stable and non-drying. It is preferentially used in the manufacture of skin care products like hand and body creams and emulsions because it has a positive effect on the spread-ability. Furthermore it can be used in fluid emulsions such as bath-additives, skin oils, cream rouges and in lip care.
