Description

Origins and characteristics: Hemp is grown in Europe and America. The seeds contain 26-35% of oil which varies in colour from brownish, green-yellow or dark green. It has a mild seedy or light hay scent and taste. The oil is obtained via cold-pressing and subsequent mechanical filtration.

Usage

Usage: The high proportion of unsaturated fats makes hemp oil one of the particularly valuable and easily digestible food oils. In cosmetics it is used increasingly due to its fatty acid composition(gamma-linoleic acid) and also due to its appealing natural image.
